Hi! I’m Rory Alcantar, a multi-instrumentalist, singer-songwriter, producer, and visual artist (photo + video) based in Austin, Texas.

Brand New Day was first written three years ago in beautiful Maine. Not long after, I became a Christian. As the Lord began transforming my life, I set the song aside while I learned what it meant to follow Him.

This year, during a challenging season emotionally and spiritually, I felt the Lord leading me back to it. I rewrote part of the chorus, added a new ending proclaiming that the Lord is my Brand New Day, and watched an old song take on new life.

Every time I listen to it, I'm reminded of the joy, peace, and hope that are found in Christ. My prayer is that this song encourages you to lift your eyes to Him and remember that where the Wind blows, where the Spirit of God moves, it's a brand new day.
